Hopi Mythology

the Hopi Indians have a rich creation mythology. This painting depicts the creation of their third world. I painted the spider, ( who is a spirit) on plexi glass as a way to seperate it from the painting of the Indian... I also chose to use a cartoon as the spider relating it to the atificiality of the spirits or religion.
